It’s as small as a pen, easily popped into a shirt pocket, but the new NARVA LED Pen Light packs a powerful lighting punch.
Its part of the new range of ALS (Advanced Lighting Systems) LED Pen and Utility Light range that has just gone on sale in New Zealand.
These hi-tech, quality lights come in all shapes and forms, but each is compact enough to be easily carried around in a pocket, purse or glove box, ready to be used at a moment’s notice.
“I can think of any number of times that a handy, yet powerful light such as these would be useful around the house, workplace, out on a job or when camping out at night,” says Tim Paterson, National Sales Manager of Griffiths Equipment Ltd, the New Zealand distributor of NARVA lighting products.
“They’ll provide enough power to allow you to complete most tasks on a single charge.”
The premium NARVA ALS LED Pen Light might be small enough to keep in a shirt pocket, but with its high-quality COB LEDs, it boasts an impressive 150 lumens of portable light at its highest setting.
At full strength, the Pen Light provides two hours of light before requiring recharging, however, the battery life can be doubled to four hours if the pen’s lower setting is selected.
For greater flexibility, the Pen Light has two output functions, allowing it to operate as either a floodlight or as a torch beam to provide directional light (at 100 lumens) with a run time of three hours.
Another great feature of the Pen Light is a brightness memory function, which recalls the last light output setting, making it ideal for tricky start and stop jobs.
Charging the Pen Light is easy via the included USB charging lead, with a full recharge only taking between two and three hours.
For greater durability and aesthetic appeal, the Pen Light is finished in a high-quality metal casing and features a secure metal clip so it can hold onto shirt pockets or similar clothing.
The Pen Light is complemented by three other practical and functional NARVA ALS Utility Lights that make up the rest of the range, all combining a powerful inspection lamp with directional torches for greater flexibility.
The three variants are: 350-lumen inspection light / 100-lumen torch; 600-lumen inspection light / 500-lumen torch; and a 1,000-lumen inspection lamp / 500-lumen torch. All three models are compact and similar in size to a smartphone, making them extremely portable and easy to store.
The output from the main light function is crisp, smooth and broad, while the torch function delivers a powerful directional beam.
Depending on the brightness adjustment, the Utility Lights provide between two and twenty hours’ usage, while the directional torch delivers three hours of light.
All three Utility Lights come standard with glow-in-the-dark locators, making them easy to find in the dark and they’re equipped with integrated magnets in addition to hanging hooks as part of the built-in stand that provides a range of positioning options, depending on the task at hand.
For improved performance across a range of more demanding applications, the two more powerful Utility Light models are rated to IP67, making them fully water and dust resistant. Charging these lights in the home, workshop or on the move is, again, a simple process thanks to the 240V USB charging lead included in the pack.
The new NARVA ALS LED Pen and Utility LED Light range is covered by a 2-year warranty and they are all available from leading automotive outlets throughout New Zealand.
